Crust leather

The semi-finished leathers are tanned, retanned, fatliquored and dried in the tannery. Crust are distinguished in chrome tanned and vegetable tanned semi-finished leathers. The customer buying this product prefers to customize the last tanning phases in its plant.

  • Shoulders

    The shoulders are the front part of  bovine rawhide including  shoulders and neck.  Its structure has the highest fiber density. We use only carefully selected top-quality European rawhides tanned through traditional processes using plant essences, drum cross-linking and fatliquoring with a blend of natural oils to keep the product eco-friendly.  We  also use the vachetta tanning process, a traditional process typical  of Tuscany,  to produce a special leather greased with a blend of vegetable, animal and fish oils making the product fiber firm, dough and soft. 

  • DOUBLE BUTTS

    Il groppone è la parte centrale della pelle grezza bovina. E’ il taglio più pregiato in quanto molto resistente e omogeneo. Il groppone da noi utilizzato è ricavato da un'accurata selezione dei migliori grezzi europei, conciato in maniera tradizionale con essenze vegetali, sezione attraversata in botte, ingrassato con miscele di oli naturali per mantenere il prodotto ecologico. Taglia 2.0/2.1 m2.

Texture firm, but not stiff. Size: 1.3/1.5 m2.

We use only carefully selected top-quality European rawhides tanned through the vachetta process, a traditional typical Tuscan tanning, to produce a special leather greased with a blend of vegetable, animal and fish oils making the product fiber firm, dough and soft. Size 1.6/1.9 m2.

The half calf is a rawhide obtained by cutting a leather in half along the animal backbone. We use only carefully selected top-quality European rawhides traditional tanned with a blend of vegetable extracts and drum cross-linking to make the leather light, dough, soft, and totally eco-friend. Size: 1.6/1.9 m2.

The half calf is a rawhide obtained by cutting a leather in half along the animal backbone. We use only carefully selected top-quality North-European rawhides chrome-tanned, retanned and fatliquored with natural and synthetic products. Size: 1.8/2.0 m2.

The bellies are the lateral parts of the bovine rawhide including the lower part of the body and the upper part of the legs. We use only carefully selected top-quality European rawhides tanned through vegetable traditional processes making it firm but not stiff. Carefully selected material by dimensions and large size: 0.8/0.9 m2.

The double butt is the central part of the bovine rawhide and the most prized as it is hard-wearing and smooth. We use only carefully selected top-quality European rawhides tanned through traditional processes with vegetable extracts, drum cross-linking, and fatliquored with blended natural oils to preserve the product eco-friend features. Size: 2.0/2.1 m2.
